Wine Country Days
Celebrated estates and small family cellars, paced to taste, with introductions that feel personal.
In 2009, a dear friend and business mentor of ours was suddenly diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. A father of two and an unbelievably kind human, he was always sage with his advice, and generous with it right to the very end.
In his final days, he shared with us his one real regret. For years he’d said things like “we’ll travel when the kids graduate,” or “when we’re empty-nesters, we’ll go see that.” The trips kept waiting for a someday that never quite arrived.
“Don’t wait.
Take the trip.”
That day, we made it our mission to go, and to help others go too. Everything we build is in his honor: a reason, and an easy way, to stop waiting for the perfect time. We hope you will too.
Take the Trip is a bespoke experiences company, not only a winery tour. A day might center on the valley’s celebrated tasting rooms, or it might be a coastal drive, a farm-to-table afternoon, a milestone celebration, or a corporate retreat. Wherever we go, the care is the same.
Most tour companies move people between destinations. We build a day around a person, and remember who they are for the next one.
Behind an easy day is a simple way of working: we learn what you actually want, build the day around it, handle every detail so it feels effortless, and remember everything so the next trip is even better.
A relaxed conversation, not a form. The occasion, the pace, the pours, the people.
Reservations, pacing, a warm welcome at each stop, your treasures shipped home.
By your next visit, the day starts already knowing you.
Most days begin with one of these and become something of their own. Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll shape the rest.
Fill in the short “get to know you” form. The occasion, the pace, what a perfect day looks like.
We draft a day built around your answers and confirm the details with you by email.
Welcomes, pacing, reservations, treasures shipped home. You never see the work behind it.
Take the Trip is a family-run company in Oregon’s Willamette Valley: warm, unhurried, and proud of this place without being precious about it. We show you the valley the way people who live here see it, the famous stops and the hidden gems both.
We don’t oversell, because the day speaks for itself. Our only job is to know you well, handle everything quietly, and remember it all for next time.

We’re based in the Willamette Valley, in Yamhill and Washington counties, and build days that range across wine country, the Oregon coast, and beyond.
